Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance range earned her popular acclaim across a range of genres ranging from period drama to action and thriller. Johansson was born in New York City, and lived there with her father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Hunter, the twin sister of Johansson was born in the city of New York. By the time she was seven years old, her passion for acting had grown. She started to audition for commercials. She joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly following and then attended the Professional Children's School, Manhattan for further training. Johansson made her debut a film actress in North (1994) aged nine. She was just eight when she was a part of Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson was later seen on screen in Just Cause (1995) but her first breakthrough came with Manny & Lo (1996) a coming-of-age film about siblings who are orphaned and run away. The Horse Whisperer (2000) the film in which she played the role of a teenage girl who has a deformity caused by an accident, earned the film critical acclaim. In Ghost World 2001 (as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca) Johansson was awarded an even greater amount of attention. She gained fame for her character of Nell Jones on the CBS popular show NCIS Los Angeles. She is one of its main characters. She is an experienced actor on stage, in addition to appearing on the show. Her performances were stunning in Wildflower as well as other stage productions. Renee Felice Smith started her professional career in entertainment at a young age. Acting was her passion as a child. Smith got her first job as an actor at age six with the help of her parents. In a commercial on television Smith starred as Dannon Yogurt. The same as other newbie actors in the same position the actress honed her talents on the stage. In addition, she worked on other initiatives across the USA as well, and Wildflower was her first onstage show. She was educated at The Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
